My art is an expression of my mystical experiences of union with the Divine. The world that I depict comes from my deeply felt explorations of the mysteries of the Divine Feminine. The sensuality, the grace-filled purity, and the strength of Divine Mother dance within my heart and overflow into my paintings to bless and inspire and bring love to all who look upon them. These paintings transmit to the viewer that which we long for but rarely experience—the feeling of being fully loved for who we are, just because we exist. Before I engage myself in making art, I enter into the stillness of silence by traveling deep into my heart, and I invoke the Divine Mother to come to me in whichever form She wants to embody. When She reveals Herself to me, I am filled with the sweet power of love that accompanies Her tangible presence. The mystical vision of Her sacred realms leaves me with a direct knowing of the ineffable. As her teachings are transmitted to me, I translate them into shapes and colors and images that convey the sublime experience of being touched by the Divine. As I paint, I let Her essence come alive through my creations. Different aspects of Divine Mother are embodied in the portraits of the Madonnas. They invite the viewer into the many realms of the sacred, offering a personal initiation into one’s own mystical heart. Each Madonna is imbued with a power that goes far beyond a static, representational form—each portrait transmits grace and inspiration. Their relationship to the viewer is dynamic because the essence that is represented in each Madonna connects personally, intimately and uniquely with each person and offers the healing and the inspiration that is most needed for that person’s spiritual growth and well-being. I create my art to be a bridge to a sublime experience of divine love.
